The Lorica Hamata Chainmail shirt was used during both the Roman Republic and Roman Empire times to 2nd century. It was replaced by the Lorica Segmentata, but was then reintroduced in the 4th century. It was a standard-issue armour for both primary legionaries and secondary troops (Auxilia).
Our Chainmail Lorica Hamata has long sleeves and is available in Zinc Plated Steel with leather border. Links are composed of 16 gauge 8mm diameter butted rings.
